IT support built for how schools run

Chromebook fleets, staff turnover every summer, Google and Microsoft side by side. We manage all of it so the school year starts without surprises.

A small team answers, not a call center.

School IT has a rhythm no other environment has. Ten months of constant use, then a short summer window where every big change has to happen at once. Miss the window and the fix waits a year.

The fleet is usually the pressure point. Hundreds of Chromebooks move between carts, classrooms, and backpacks, and the inventory spreadsheet stopped matching reality years ago. Devices age out unevenly. Nobody knows what to budget because nobody knows what exists.

Staff turnover is the second pressure point. Teachers leave in June, new ones arrive in August, and every transition touches accounts, devices, shared drives, and document ownership. Handled loosely, a school slowly loses control of its own files.

Asset tracking and a planned device lifecycle fix the fleet side. Clean onboarding, offboarding, and one team managing Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 together fix the account side. We work with private and independent schools across the Salt Lake Valley.

What we do about it

Chromebook fleet lifecycle

Every device tracked in an asset system, backed by Snipe-IT. We audit what you own, retire what is dead, and plan replacements before devices fail mid-semester.

Staff onboarding and offboarding

New hires get accounts, devices, and access on day one. Departing staff get cleanly offboarded, including Google Drive ownership transfers so their documents stay with the school.

Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 together

Most schools run both. We manage the two environments as one system, with consistent accounts, security policies, and sane licensing.

Summer project planning

Summer is when school IT work happens. We plan infrastructure projects, device refreshes, and moves in spring so they finish before teachers return.

Security and content filtering

Firewalls, filtering, and account security appropriate for an environment full of students, managed centrally and documented.

Already have an IT person?

You do not have to replace them to work with us

Often it means we work alongside them. Plenty of our clients keep an internal point person for day-to-day questions and bring us in for the security stack, the compliance work, and the escalations one person cannot cover alone. We will tell you honestly which parts you do not need us for.

If you are leaving another provider, we run a documented transition and request the handover materials directly, so it stays professional.

Education questions we hear

Yes. We often work alongside an internal tech or a teacher who wears the IT hat, taking on the fleet, the security stack, and the projects that need more depth.

Yes. A fleet audit is usually our first project with a school. We physically account for devices, reconcile the records, and set up tracking that survives staff changes.

No, it is normal. We manage Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 side by side and keep accounts, mail flow, and security policies consistent across both.

Late spring, in most cases. That gives time for discovery and documentation before summer, and the heavy work happens while the building is quiet.

Yes. Helpdesk for staff is part of the agreement, and we set student account policies up so resets are quick and controlled.
